• Third-party data — publicly available speedrunning data sourced from platforms such as speedrun.com, Twitch, and YouTube.

We use the information we collect to operate and improve speedrun.io, to personalize your experience, to communicate with you about your account or the platform, to respond to support requests, and to detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising targeting or behavioral profiling for commercial purposes.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

Public Speedrun Records and Historical Data

speedrun.io archives publicly available speedrunning records for historical preservation purposes. This data — including run times, category records, and associated metadata — is sourced from public platforms and maintained as part of our core dataset. As a result, public run records may persist on the platform independent of account status.

If you are a registered user and are the verified owner of a run or associated video content, you may request that your record be marked private or removed from public display by contacting us at [email protected]. We will review and honor such requests where ownership can be reasonably verified. Note that historical aggregates and anonymized statistics derived from run data may be retained even after individual records are removed.

Cookies and Tracking

speedrun.io does not display advertising of any kind and does not participate in advertising networks. We do not track, profile, or share your data with advertisers — not because we anonymize it first, but because advertising is not part of our business model. There are no ad pixels, retargeting scripts, or third-party marketing trackers on this platform.

We use essential cookies required for the platform to function, such as session authentication and preference storage. Analytics, where used, are privacy-preserving and aggregate in nature — they do not share personally identifiable information with any external network. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though some platform features may not function correctly without them.

Third-Party Services

We integrate with third-party platforms including Twitch and YouTube for authentication and data enrichment. Your use of those services is governed by their respective privacy policies. We only request the minimum OAuth permissions necessary to provide the functionality you use.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party services linked from or integrated with speedrun.io.
